FUNYULA, Kenya
ÂBungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka and his Busia counterpart Paul Otuoma joined Farouk Kibet, the chief aide to President William Ruto, during an economic empowerment drive aimed at uplifting women and youth groups in Busia County.Â
The leaders used the forum at Funyula to robustly campaign for President Ruto’s re-election bid, highlighting his administration’s capital infrastructure, agricultural, and economic development projects across Western Kenya.
“To secure our share of sustainable growth, our people must remain united behind leaders delivering tangible development,” Lusaka said.
“Empowering communities and investing directly in grassroots groups is the surest path to shared prosperity.”
 Kibet reiterated the national government’s commitment to grassroots funding and economic equity, urging Western Kenya residents to back the current administration to guarantee continuous transformation.
The event drew thousands of residents and local leaders who pledged to build economic resilience through organized self-help groups.
