Today marked the exciting opening of the 8th Innovation Exhibition at Machakos University, bringing together students, staff, and external exhibitors to showcase groundbreaking ideas and transformative innovations.
The vibrant event began with captivating entertainment by the Machakos University Choir, setting the stage for a celebration of creativity and the power of ideas. The exhibition was officially opened by Prof. Richard Kimiti, who represented the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joyce Agalo.
The ceremony was attended by members of the University Management Team, staff, and students, including Prof. Peter Kibet, representing Prof. James Muola, Ag. DVC RIL, Prof. David Mulwa, Registrar RIL, Prof. Charles Ombuki, Director, RITT, among others.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Tonny Omwansa, CEO of KeNIA, was represented by Mr. Francis Okwara, who delivered a keynote address highlighting the vital role of innovation in driving sustainable development. Mr. Raymond Otieno from KIPI was also present.
The Innovation Exhibition continues until tomorrow, 13th March 2026, offering a dynamic platform for innovators to present solutions that shape a better future. Judges will also announce the adjudication results and present prizes to the outstanding innovators.
