Members of the Kenyan Kamba community in the United States have come out in support of Kenyan nurse Abedinecho Katue following his arrest over allegations of sexually abusing a patient at AdventHealth.
In a statement, community leaders acknowledged the seriousness of the allegations but emphasized the importance of due process, noting that an accusation does not amount to a conviction.

The group called for calm and urged the public to allow the legal system in the United States to handle the matter fairly and transparently.
According to the statement, many Kenyans working abroad continue to serve with professionalism and dedication, representing both their families and communities with pride.

The community expressed hope that the truth will emerge through the legal process and said Katue, like any other accused person, deserves the opportunity to defend himself in court.
They further urged the public to avoid rushing to conclusions and allow justice to take its course as investigations continue.
